Happy Halloween!

I did manage to gather all three of my babes for a group photo this evening, but haven't had a chance to upload it yet, maybe later.  Aren't they some cute monsters? <3

Class of 2012: Stephen {Woodstock, Virginia Senior Portrait Photographer}

Stephen wasn't really interested in your typical senior portrait shin-dig but he was willing to have a session with his beloved pogo stick.  I laughed at first when his mom told me about his one request but after hearing his idea, I realized that it was a pretty cool photo op!  We did manage to convince him to pose for a few other shots as well.  Someday, he'll be glad he did! :)

The "S" Family {Winchester, Virginia Family Photographer}

My busy weekend was wrapped up with this adorable family in Winchester.  The girls started off great and decided halfway through that they weren't having it!  With Grandma to the rescue we were able to bribe them with some Halloween cookies and candy and a promised trip to the pond to feed the ducks and geese.  Here is a sneak peek of The "S" Family's photo session from Sunday.

Class of 2012: Tyler {Woodstock, Virginia Senior Portrait Photographer}

A few weeks ago, I had another great session with a Central High School Senior.  This group of "kids" have been so awesome to work with and Tyler was no exception.  He and his mom were so easy going and go-with-the-flow.  I am so lucky to have the nicest clients.  Thank you L & T for trusting me to shoot such an important time in your lives!

Little Lucie: 10 days {Northern Virginia Newborn Photographer}

It seems like just yesterday I was taking Steph's maternity photos.  I was so anxious to meet all 5 pounds of this adorable baby girl.  She was a little angel when it came to posing, she was so sleepy that I was able to get all of the poses that I was hoping for!

Celebrating Jack & Will {Woodstock, Virginia Event Photographer}

I was honored when Meghann asked me to come photograph a party to wish her husband, Will well as he prepares to deploy for seven months and her son, Jack's first birthday.  Lots of hard work went in to preparing for this party, Meghann and her family did SUCH an awesome job paying extra close attention to every detail.  The party was wrapped up with a special slideshow of little Jack's first year highlights.  Thank you, Eastham's for including me in your super special evening!

Class of 2012 Part III {Woodstock, Virginia Senior Portrait Photographer}

In an effort to get caught up on my blogging, I will post a short preview of a few sessions from over the last few weeks.  I will post more as I get other things completed, but for now here are a few shots from some recent senior sessions.

Mini Session: The Estep's {Winchester, Virginia Family Photographer}

Mike & Kim were another couple who decided to brave the cold and rain for their mini session earlier this month.  I'm so glad they did, I thought their pictures turned out great!

M&K, enjoy your photos!

Class of 2012: Bailey {Woodstock, Virginia Senior Photographer}

I can remember when this beautiful senior was just a tiny girl in pre-school.  I never imagined I would have the chance to shoot her senior portraits.  Until today, I always pictured her as that shy little pre-schooler.  It hit me as we were shooting, what a young lady Bailey has become.  This was one of the easiest sessions I have ever shot.  Bailey was so easy going and willing to try anything, we had a great time trying lots of new poses.

Mini Session Success {Winchester, Virginia Family Photographer}

I walked outside this morning full of excitement.  The sun was shining, the wind was calm and the temperature was chilly but not cold.  It was the perfect day for my mini sessions.  Halfway to Winchester it got cloudy and by the time I hit my exit it was POURING.  I could have cried but then I remembered some really cool shots that I saw on Pinterest and was inspired again.  I can't share too many of the photos from the sessions because most families are using their photos either for their Christmas Cards or for Christmas Presents.  Here is a sneak peak of some of my favorites.  More to come as I get caught up on editing.
