"N" Family {Woodstock, Virginia Family Photographer}

I have such a special place in my heart for this little family.  I've had the pleasure of photographing their maternity session, the birth of their sweet baby boy and a brief newborn session.  I was anxiously awaiting my family session to see how much baby "L" had grown.  He is such an even mixture of mom and dad.  Thanks M & A for your continued support.  I look forward to many more sessions!

Baby K: 16 Days {Woodstock, Virginia Newborn Photographer}

I was a bit apprehensive while preparing for this session.  This baby girl was just outside the "2 week window" so I didn't know how many sleepy shots I would be able to get.  No worries, this beautiful angel was a photographer's dream.  She slept the whole time and was such a breeze to transfer from one position to the next.  I was able to get some of my favorite poses in record time!  Thanks "S" family for the wonderful addition to my portfolio, your babies are super gorgeous!

-The "H" Family- {Woodstock, Virginia Family Photographer}

This family has been so supportive of me from the very beginning.  I always look forward to at least an annual session with them.  We always have a great time joking, laughing and chasing little ones around.  Thank you "H" Family for always being so faithful to my business and calling on me to provide you with priceless images of your family.

Mini Session: Round 2 {Winchester, Virginia Child & Family Photographer}

Two of the three families from below are repeat clients.  I just love seeing how much babies change from one session to the next!  They were all such great sports for their session.

She is such a sweet baby girl, I just love her name too, meet baby Abigail!

Christmas Mini Sessions: Round 1 {Winchester, Virginia Child & Family Photographer}

When I planned this round of mini sessions, I expected to get lots of shots of puffy winter coats.  I figured it would be freezing cold, lots of wind and total misery for my clients.  I was prepared for the worst weather possible since that's what I had for my last mini session day.  The weather was awesome.  Perfect!  It was warm and partly cloudy.  Exactly what any photographer would want for a day like this.

I enjoyed working with lots of new clients and seeing some returning clients who have stuck by me since the beginning of ANP.   Thank you to everyone who came out Saturday and thank you to those of you who check in faithfully to see my newest work!!!  Stay tuned for round 2 and 3 of mini session posts.

Love them to pieces! {Woodstock, Virginia Family Photographer}

I'm always posting pictures of my youngest because she hasn't learned to hide from the camera yet.  I had a rare chance to catch a few shots of my older two a few weeks ago.  Looking at these photos, I suddenly realized how much they have grown.  I cannot get over Cully being seven and Kendall almost 6.  It's so amazing how we've gone from watching them take their first steps to watching them walk to the bus stop every morning.  Before I know it, I'll be watching them drive away or taking pictures of them for prom.  People always told me how fast it goes by and I never believed them, sadly, it's true.

Girls/ladies, remember braiding your hair before you went to bed while it was still wet?  I made the mistake of showing Kendall that cool trick the night before these photos were taken.  :)  Crazy girl.

Little Locke: 13 days {Woodstock, Virginia Newborn Photographer}

Baby Locke was my first studio model and I couldn't have gotten any cuter baby.  His head full of dark hair and his tiny little face were perfect to work with today.  I especially loved his spiffy tie made by mom!

After a few major accidents all over mom and I, we managed to get some adorable shots of the little guy.  Thanks Ashely and Nelson for including me in such major milestones in your lives.  xoxo

What to Wear: Mini Session Edition {Winchester, Virginia Family Portrait Photographer}

My next mini session is later this month.  With the weather as crazy as it has been, I started wondering if families would panic about their weather appropriate wardrobe.  Thanks to my lifeline, Pinterest, I found some ideas to share.  I love the different colors, LAYERS and styles in the photos below.

All images borrowed from {Pinterest}.

Having trouble deciding what to wear?  I would love to email you some additional ideas.

Class of 2012: Allie {Woodstock, Virginia Senior Photographer}

You could never tell by looking at her that Allie isn't one for wearing make-up, dresses or posing for PICTURES!  She started off pretty shy in front of the camera, but as the day went on she was rockin' it.  Allie is a senior at Central and is an awesome softball player, such an athlete.  I'm so excited to hand over the photos from her session today!  For now, here are a few for everyone to enjoy.

Baby "C": 4 Weeks {Woodstock, Virginia Newborn Photographer}

I'd been waiting and waiting for baby C's arrival.  It seems like just last year his mommy and daddy were expecting the arrival of his big brother!  Baby "C" was a BIG baby when he was born and mom said he takes almost an hour to eat!  I was honestly shocked when we got as many shots as we did until it was time to eat again.

ANP Is Goin' To Town!

Several of you have guessed it, not that it was a secret.  I have office space!!!  I can finally not only get my house back but my life too.  My house is covered in camera cases, blankets from newborn sessions, contracts that need to be filed, bean bags, baskets, wooden bowls, etc.  It's HORRIBLE.  Trust me, when I say my house, I mean my whole house.  From the basement to my bedroom two stories up.  It's so stressful.  Just ask the hubs.

Starting this week I will be cleaning away.  This space has been sitting empty for YEARS.  I actually used to work in the exact office where I am moving.  I'll be located on Court Square in Woodstock right on Lawyer's Row.  I scored one heckuva deal that I couldn't let pass me by.

I don't plan to shoot anything other than newborn sessions in my office, there just isn't enough room, or natural light.  This leads me to venture into the world of artificial lighting...sigh.  It's okay though, I'm determined to figure it out.

I will keep you 'posted' on my progress.  I have LOTS of work to do...TONS.  You can see the LAYERS of dust/dirt on the furniture in the pictures below (hopefully that will be moved out this week so I can move my stuff in!)...

I laugh at myself for showing you these photos, before you look, remember I have a vision for this space...my vision looks nothing like what you see below! hahaha!  I welcome and ideas or suggestions you have...I NEED THEM!  Wish me luck!!!

Happy Halloween!

I did manage to gather all three of my babes for a group photo this evening, but haven't had a chance to upload it yet, maybe later.  Aren't they some cute monsters? <3

Class of 2012: Stephen {Woodstock, Virginia Senior Portrait Photographer}

Stephen wasn't really interested in your typical senior portrait shin-dig but he was willing to have a session with his beloved pogo stick.  I laughed at first when his mom told me about his one request but after hearing his idea, I realized that it was a pretty cool photo op!  We did manage to convince him to pose for a few other shots as well.  Someday, he'll be glad he did! :)
